Spring Lake Regional Park isn’t actually a nature reserve; from what we saw it was mainly a grounds for archery practice, which I find to be interesting and oddly specific. We left the main paths and followed a trail made by deer through the woods to the water where a million geese were settling down for the night, and made it back out just before the last of the sunlight disappeared.
